Marine Safety Products, LLC was founded by an experienced team of water enthusiasts and investors in 2015.
The Lifeshirt® concept was inspired by a personal experience with a near drowning incident on the Florida coast. At that time, we recognized the existing water safety market lacked products that both children and adults would actually wear. Since then we’ve been on a journey developing and testing the Lifeshirt® to meet the highest standards and regulatory requirements for water safety around the world.
We’re proud to bring the Lifeshirt® to market to not only save lives but give family and friends piece of mind knowing their loved ones are safe when they’re on or around the water.
Bert Pearson
President
Bert came to Lifeshirt Products Inc. with over 28 years of experience in Investment Management and Investment Banking. Prior to joining Lifeshirt Bert was Regional Director for the BB&T Wealth Region where he led a team of talented professionals who provided comprehensive advice and investment management and commercial real estate solutions to high-net-worth clients and families. Prior to joining BB&T Bert served as a National Sales Performance Executive for Merrill Lynch based in Dallas Texas. Bert holds the FINRA Series 4,7,24,53,63,65 and 79 registrations, and a Florida Commercial Real Estate license. Bert joined Lifeshirt August 2023
Joe Stetor
Chief Operating Officer
Joe Stetor is a board member of Lifeshirt Products, Inc and has been involved with the development of the LifeShirt since 2017.Joe has an extensive background in business opera%ons across mul%ple industries. He joined The Idea People, a specialty adver%sing company, as Vice President in April of 2023 managing all aspects of the company. Prior to that, he spent ten years in the technology industry managing semiconductor and cloud infrastructure supply chains. More recently, Joe was a Senior Supply Chain Manager for Dropbox, Inc responsible for the on-premise datacenter infrastructure sourcing and supply chain. Before joining Dropbox, he spent nine years as a commodity manager for Intel Corpora%on where he developed and implemented strategic sourcing plans for memory and other integrated circuits manufactured around the world. Lastly, Joe began his opera%ons career with Demmer Corpora%on establishing lean manufacturing systems to support the produc%on of Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) military transport vehicles for the Department of Defense.Joe earned an MBA with dual specializa%ons in Supply Chain Management and Finance from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administra%on from Michigan State University.
Christopher Pearson
Director of International Compliance
Christopher is a passionate and creative individual with a love for water sports and soccer. As a managing director for a marine safety company, he has dedicated himself to safety, quality, and compliance. Chris joins Lifeshirt Products Inc. with over 27 years of experience in the marine safety industry for leisure and professional sectors. Chris’ journey began 27 years ago as a technical assistant for a lifejacket manufacturer in Liverpool England, and since then, he’s had the privilege of being the Managing Director of Marine Safety Products LTD where he looked after marine safety product design and development for the world’s largest manufacturers for 22 years. Writing and implementing quality systems along with looking after product design, safety and compliance are some of the daily tasks Chris undertakes.

We understand that saving lives on the water requires more than innovative products. It requires educating people on water safety from all walks of life, from those that live on the water to those that only swim a few times a year.
We feel its also important to recognize that water safety accidents affect individual communities differently. For example, between 1999-2010 the fatal unintentional drowning rate for minorities was significantly higher across all age groups than their peers. In addition, fatal drownings remain the second-leading cause of unintentional injury related death for children under the age of 14 behind only motor vehicle crashes.
For these reasons, we’ve started the Be Safe® campaign which partners with businesses and communities to promote water safety.
